About ISDS
International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS) is an association of individual and institutional members whose purpose is to build a communication network between scientists, practitioners, and people with an interest in sustainability. Registered with Japanese Government as a private organization, ISDS is dedicated to research, development, consultation, training, and publication in all areas related to sustainable development. It promotes sustainability through maintaining technical cooperation, network development and capacity building at international, regional and national levels. This website is a platform for sustainability knowledge sharing and awareness raising.
ISDS Background
Founded in 2012, ISDS achieves community-driven objectives for promoting sustainability through international exchange and asset-based progress, and offers various services for knowledge sharing and awareness raising that include, but are not limited to, online information dissemination, developing international sustainability networks, research and consultation, sustainability content development, education, training and publication. In addition, ISDS supports external entities with their business development activities where sustainability is among the subjects of interest.
Mission and goals
From the beginning of establishment, ISDS's mission was - and still is - to offer state-of-the-art and professional sustainability information services for individuals and organizations. This mission is composed of two important parts; one is acquiring, collecting, or creating reliable and real-time information, and the other part is disseminating, delivering and communicating those information to the users who need it. ISDS aims to reach a major part of this goal by developing an international network of individual and institutional members whose profession has something to do with sustainability.
What's in it for me?
ISDS provides you with useful information about all aspects of sustainability and sustainable development. It aims to create an online knowledge and information resource to provide sustainability related updates and news, blog posts, interviews, opinions, essays, educational contents and links, etc. This includes a free-access scholarly journal that covers a broad range of topics in environmental, economic, social and cultural sustainability. In addition, if you become a member, you will occasionally receive newsletters, updates, and notices with information that we deem to be of interest to you. All the above benefits are FREE, however, ISDS also offers paid services for your specific needs. Please contact us for more information.
