The United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) has joined Hipsters of Nature and other environmentalists to mark this year's World Environment Day (WED 2014) with an environmental challenge dubbed "Bottle Up Accra", which aimed at raising awareness on the need to keep our beaches clean and the importance of recycling plastic bottles and bags. This week the UN working group that is tasked with drafting a proposal for new global sustainable development goals (“SDGs”) is meeting in New York.
